Bangladesh to play two T20 ties with Windies in USA


Sports desk: Bangladesh may play a couple of T20 International matches in USA for the first time when they will tour West Indies for a bilateral series in June-July.

Insider said, as per the itinerary sent by the West Indies Cricket Board, the two T20 matches are scheduled to be hosted by Florida. It’s not a new thing for WICB because they had recently started playing T20 matches of any home bilateral series.

Bangladesh will play two Tests and three ODIs also in the series which will be held in different venues in West Indies before the two-match T20 series in Florida.

The USA till now hosted six cricket matches, all of which is T20 game with the first in May 22, 2010 between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. The WICB has also been organizing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in Florida for the last two years. Shakib Al Hasan is the only player from Bangladesh to have the experience of playing in USA as he was the part of a CPL franchise in the last season.
