National Film Award winning actress Elora Gahar is currently spending a busy time with the work of a number of films and tele-dramas. DhakaLive has news that the actress is working regularly for several ongoing drama serials, such as—Alvi Ahmed’s ‘New Generation’, Asim Gomez’s ‘Uthal Taranga’ and SA TV’s ‘Tumi Acho Tai’. Besides, she has recently completed the shooting of a single-episode tele-drama titled ‘Bhulte Na Tomay’ under the direction of Nahid Babu.
On the other hand, Elora has completed the shooting of Saikat Nasir-directed film ‘Pashan’ recently. Moreover, the shooting of her yet another film ‘Bhromor’ has been held up due to some issues. The shooting of this film, directed by Sohel Arman, will likely to be resumed from the coming winter season.
Elora made her debut in the TV drama with ‘Tumi Sei Projapati’, scripted by Abdullah Al Mamun and produced by Atiqul Haq Chowdhury. Her last tele-drama on Bangladesh Television titled ‘Osomoyer Othiti’ was aired in 1989. Interestingly, the tele-drama was scripted and produced by the same persons from her first tele-drama. Then, after a hiatus for some time, she came to limelight with Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s films ‘Bachelor’ and ‘Choruibhati’. She also acted in the film ‘Hello Amit’ directed by Shankha Dasgupta and Impress Telefilm’s ‘Modhumoti’.
However, today is Elora Gahar’s birthday. She has taken a break from the shooting today on the occasion of her birthday. She said, “Actually, birthday is not personal any more nowadays. My fans wish me on my birthday; many of them express their feelings while speaking over the phone. Besides, many of the fans wish me from abroad. I have been blessed as I was born here in Bangladesh, which led an ordinary person like me to enjoy the opportunity of receiving such huge respect and love from so many people.”
