Dhaka: Foreign Affairs Minister AH Mahmud Ali will make a visit to Myanmar ‘soon’ to see the situation of Rakhine State for the return of Rohingya refugees from Bangladesh.
M Shohidul Haque, secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed the information to the journalists on Tuesday.
The official said: “The minister will visit the Rakhine State of Myanmar to look into whether the authorities of the country make the pet-friendly and fearless environment for the livelihood of displaced Rohingya people over there.”
The secretary, however, could not confirm the exact date of the visit of the foreign minister, while he was asked.
Earlier from August 25, 2017, at least 700000 Rohingya people fled to Bangladesh amid barbaric torture of military in their ancient land.
