Janhvi Kapoor will pay tribute to her late mother Sridevi while singing two of her famous songs at actress Sonam Kapoor’s wedding.
The 21-year-old rising star will take on two of her mother’s hit songs, Mere Haathon Mein Nau Nau Chudiyan and Kisi Ke Haath Naa Aayegi Yeh Ladki, at the wedding. Although it will be the youngster’s first ever time singing live, Bollywood Life have reported that rehearsals have already been sounding incredible.
Sonam Kapoor will marry Indian businessman and entrepreneur Anand Ahuja on 8 May in what’s being billed as the Bollywood wedding of the year. Actress Sonam will have a Punjabi wedding and it will be held in Mumbai. The sangeet, or pre-wedding event, is likely to include lots of lavish performances from other Bollywood celebrities and friends of the happy couple, as is the custom. These days, the special musical appearances go viral online after they’re filmed, making these big Indian weddings something of a fashion and style statement which others will copy.
Anil Kapoor is also rumoured to be putting something together for the big day, as are Sonam’s cousins. A source told the Mumbai Mirror: ‘They will perform to her hit songs like the Veere title track, Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai from the Fawad Khan co-starrer Khoobsurat, the Prem Ratan Dhan Payo title track, and Dheere Dheere from her music video with Hrithik Roshan, among others, besides other popular wedding songs.’ The wedding will take place at Sonam’s house in Bandra complex, Mumbai.MATRO NEWS.
