Nazmul scalps Raza to pick up his maiden Test wicket Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe, 1st Test


Sports desk: The left-arm orthodox Bangladeshi debutant Nazmul Islam has sent Raza back to pick up his maiden Test wicket while the visitors managed to score 149 runs losing 4 wickets in 62 over before going for the Tea Break.

Zimbabwe’s Hamilton Masakadza falls for 52 soon after lunch while Taijul Islam picks up two wickets of the first session in the first Test of the two-match Test series in Sylhet.

Taijul Islam draws the first blood of the visitors when he sends back Chari for 13 as Zimbabwe are 35/1 in 10.4 overs.

The Bangladeshi bowler strikes again when Zimbabwe are 47/2 and Taylor gone for 6 in Sylhet.

Zimbabwe captain Hamilton Masakadza has won the toss and decided to bat first against the home side in the 1st Test of the two match Test series at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

In today’s match, Ariful Haque and Nazmul Islam make their debuts for Bangladesh while Brandon Mavuta for Zimbabwe.

Bangladesh have won the last four Tests against the Caribbean. Though Only one spot separates these two team in the ICC rankings but Bangladesh are miles ahead than their competitor.
