Sri Lanka declare at 713-9, lead Bangladesh by 200

Sports desk: Sri Lanka declared their first innings on 713 for nine, a commanding lead of 200, against Bangladesh in the final session of the fourth day of the first test in Chittagong on Saturday.

Skipper Dinesh Chandimal called back his batsmen after Taijul Islam dismissed Rangana Herath for 24 in the third over of the final session on the fourth day.

BKG Mendis top scored for the visitors with 196 while DM de Silva and ARS Silva also scored hundreds and LD Chandimal added 87 runs.

Taijul finished with 4-219 while off-spinner Mehedi Hasan claimed 3-174.
